By completing this form, I authorize staff at the University Libraries to check out materials to me using the CWID number listed in the automated system.

I also agree to adhere to the policies and procedures governing the Allegro Courier Service. I understand that I must have a valid ACTion Card and CWID in order to use the Allegro Courier Service.

Allegro Courier Service Policies and Procedures

  • The Allegro Courier Service is only available to UA faculty.
  • All Libraries Circulation Dept. policies apply to items delivered via the Allegro Courier Service.
  • Patrons must have a valid UA ACTion Card and CWID number before items can be checked out for courier delivery.
  • Any circulating materials or journal articles from Gorgas Library or the Libraries Annex may be requested for courier delivery to the School of Music.
  • Large orders may be divided into sequential deliveries if space is not available on the Libraries mail delivery van for the entire order.
  • Requested articles will be scanned and emailed to patrons.
  • Delivery will be made once daily Monday through Friday. Pickups will be made once a week on Fridays.
  • Typically, an item that is available in Gorgas Library will be delivered within 24-48 hours from the time of request. The anticipated maximum turnaround time for delivery of items from the Annex will be 48 hours from time of request, except on Friday, when delivery will be the following Monday.
  • All materials will be delivered to a designated area in room 175 Moody Music Building. A copy of the request form will be attached to each item.
  • An individual authorized by the School of Music must sign for the items when they are delivered. Materials which are ready for pickup will be placed by the borrower in a designated area of room 175 Moody Music Building, preferably with the request form attached.
  • After materials are picked up, they will be returned to the Gorgas Circulation Desk where they will be checked in.
