NEW FACULTY PURCHASE REQUESTS
New faculty members may have teaching and research interests that fall outside the current collection scope of the University Libraries. In recognition of that fact, the Dean of Libraries annually sets aside a modest allocation to support requests from new faculty for one-time or start-up purchases. This allocation allows the Libraries to provide prompt, one-time funding as requests are received and to reassess long-term collection policies. Please direct requests to Dr. Louis A. Pitschmann
), Dean, The University Libraries.
Librarians are available to teach library instruction sessions. These classes are designed as working sessions and should be scheduled to coincide with an assignment requiring library research. Sessions range from basic introduction to library resources for freshman classes, or more in-depth research techniques for upper-level classes.
