Traveling Librarian

It’s not always possible to bring your class or group into the library.  The traveling librarian program aims to solve this problem by sending a librarian to your dorm or building to provide a research session.  Please contact Josh Sahib to discuss your needs and schedule a visit.

Every semester Gorgas library holds a series of short lunchtime workshops based on student centered topics.  The workshops will all be held from 1 to 2pm in 205 Gorgas Library.  For Spring 2012 the workshops will focus around online productivity tools.  We’ll provide light snacks and punch but feel free to bring your lunch and join us!

Zotero – On February 23rd we’ll discuss this free citation management tool.
Evernote – On March 21st we’ll discuss this popular tool that can be used to manage and organize: thoughts, notes, pictures, & webpages.
Prezi – On April 18th we’ll discuss this neat presentation tool that can really set you apart from the PowerPoint crowd.
