Librarians to the Rescue

College can be hard. Fortunately, UA Libraries are here to help.  On this page we’ve pulled together some of our outreach services that can help out when you’re in a bind.

Traveling Librarian

It’s not always possible to bring your class or group into the library.  The traveling librarian program aims to solve this problem by sending a librarian to your residence hall or building to provide a specialized library session.  Please contact Josh Sahib or Mark Robison to discuss your needs and schedule a visit.

Research Rescue

Are you struggling to find sources for a big research paper? Bring your topic to Gorgas and visit with a librarian for a drop-in research consultation at the Gorgas Information Desk. Librarians are available Monday – Friday, from 8:00 am. – 5:00 p.m.

Lunchtime Discovery Workshops

Every semester Gorgas Information Services holds two series of workshops: one for undergraduates, and one for graduate students and faculty. These workshops will resume in September 2014. Check back here for more information later this summer!

Ask a Librarian

Don't forget that if you have library questions or research problems you can always get help through our Ask a Librarian service.  If you're unable to use the weblink above, then you can reach out to us through our Blackboard IM Helpdesk or text us at (205) 377-0920.
