Gorgas Library is equipped with adaptive technologies workstations featuring 21" monitors, scanners, optical character recognition software, Braille and laser printers, and JAWS for Windows, a text-reading program. Both stations also feature Chroma magnifiers for print materials. For the most part, this equipment is for viewing and printing library and research related materials.

Users needing access to a Braille printer for non-library related use should contact the Office of Disability Services at (205) 348-4285.

Hoole Library is equipped with a C-Tech visual enlarger.
