- About UA Libraries
The Digital Services unit at the University Libraries digitizes archival material and makes it accessible online, to support the teaching and research of UA faculty and students, which, in turn, furthers the mission of The University of Alabama.
For information about Digital Services and their mission, you can explore the Wiki, or contact Kate Matheny (Outreach Coordinator) or Jody L. DeRidder (Unit Head).
Access digitized historical material and finding aids from the Division of Special Collections, current student research, and more.
The University Libraries invites users to help describe its archival materials through tagging photographs and transcribing documents. You can do this in the Acumen interface by clicking on the tag or document icon at the top right of the image.
Interested in incorporating digital archival material into your course? See this LibGuide with information about digital archives and how to search them.
