The University Libraries constructed a Library Annex to supplement their existing facilities in 2003. Campus libraries have outgrown existing shelf space for collections, resulting in impeded access to high-use materials and limited space for study, research and library services. The Libraries’ Annex is a 25,200 sq. ft. facility that currently houses an estimated 680,000 volumes, 135 microfilm cabinets and a collection of 19th century newspapers. In addition, the Annex houses the University Records. Because materials are not stored in call-number order, the collection is not browsable.

Little-used books,  journals and those journals with electronic access were transferred to the Annex. Now heavily-used items are arranged in logical order on spacious shelves. Quality study areas have been restored in the libraries.

The Annex is climate controlled and the books and journals you need will be protected.
