BONI, MARGARET BRADFORD, 1893-1974
Biography:
Musician; music teacher. Born– 1893, Birmingham. Parents–John Taylor and Ida Brooks Bradford. Married–Charles Boni. Education– graduated from Florida State College for Women; studied music in Germany and at Julliard School of Music. Folk song instructor and conductor in the public schools of Pennsylvania and New York; director of the Music Department of the City and Country School, New York city, 1928-1954. An early exponent of the recorder, a medieval flute; gave recorder courses in the Department of General Education at New York University. Died December 1, 1974.
